My motto when it comes to my graphic design and illustration work is “less is more.” This is because I feel that the overall design should never get in the way of the message that is to be communicated in the finished design piece. I suppose you could say that this is the key difference between my design and art practices, as my artwork tends to be a study in “more is more!” 

 

In many ways, my graphic design practice informs my visual art practice and in turn, my visual art practice has changed the way I go about my design work. And I love to incorporate aspects of my art into my design work whenever possible.

 

I am drawn by the interplay between words, typography and imagery, and I strive to achieve harmony between all of these elements in my designs.
